An honest guide to FastEx delivery times: what happens between booking and your door, what can slow a parcel down, and what to do if it is late.

Understanding Courier Delivery Timelines

When you order online or send a parcel with FastEx, the first question is often how long it will take. FastEx has not published a table of delivery times that we could check, so we do not give a fixed number of days. The time depends on the distance, when the parcel is sent out and how busy the day is.

No courier can promise an exact day for every parcel. What you can expect depends on where the parcel starts, where it is going, the service booked and conditions on the road.

How Many Days Does FastEx Take? What Affects It

These steps all add to the time between booking and delivery.

Geographic Route Distance

Parcels going to an address in the same city usually move faster. Parcels going between provinces, such as from Punjab to Sindh or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, must travel by road between cities first.

Booking & Cut-Off Timings

Express Centers have a daily cut-off time for sending parcels out. A parcel handed in early in the day can leave that day. A parcel handed in after the cut-off is sorted in the next shift.

Hub-and-Spoke Sorting

A parcel does not go straight from the sender to you. It goes from the booking branch to a main hub, is scanned and sorted, travels to the hub in your city, and is then given to a rider.

Last-Mile Rider Coordination

Once the status says “Out for Delivery”, the time depends on the rider’s route, whether you answer your phone, getting past building security and having the COD cash ready. FastEx usually delivers between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

The service you use changes how the parcel travels:

Domestic Courier Delivery

Parcels inside Pakistan travel by road and local delivery vans. The time depends on the distance. Parcels to faraway places usually take longer than local ones.

Globex International Shipping

Parcels going abroad must clear customs at the airport, wait for a flight and clear customs in the other country. Customs checks or duty can add extra time.

Common Reasons for FastEx Delays

Even well-run couriers face things they cannot control:

Adverse Seasonal Weather: Thick winter fog in Punjab, heavy monsoon rain or landslides on mountain roads can slow vehicles down for safety.
Public & Religious Holidays: FastEx does not deliver on Sundays or public holidays such as Eid, Pakistan Day and Independence Day. Parcels waiting over the weekend go out again on Monday.
Incomplete or Ambiguous Address: Parcels with no house number, sector, street or landmark have to be checked by hand before a rider can find the address.
Unanswered Delivery Calls: Riders call when they are close. If nobody answers, they have to move on to their next stops.

What to Do If Your FastEx Parcel Is Late

Is your FastEx parcel running late? Work through these steps:

Check the latest scan with your tracking number to see if the parcel is travelling, at your local branch or waiting for another try.
Ask the sender to check that your phone number and full address are correct on the label.
