Home Delivery Guide

FastEx Home Delivery: Doorstep Courier Service Guide

A plain guide to FastEx delivery to your home: what happens on delivery day, the rider’s phone call, what happens if you miss the rider and tips for receiving your order.

How FastEx Delivers to Your Door

FastEx is the courier brand of Daewoo Express. It delivers parcels to homes and offices. This is different from Daewoo Smart Cargo, where you collect your parcel at a bus terminal with your CNIC. With FastEx, a rider brings the parcel to your door. For booking or asking about a parcel in person, see our guide to FastEx express centers for that option.

Whether you are waiting for an online order, an urgent document or a gift from abroad sent by Globex, FastEx delivers it to your address, collects cash on delivery if needed and records the delivery when it is handed over.

What to Expect on Delivery Day

The main steps, from the morning sorting to handing over your parcel.

1. Out for Delivery

Morning Stage

Each morning, usually between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, staff put parcels on riders’ delivery lists. When tracking says “Out for Delivery”, the rider for your area has your parcel. Riders usually deliver between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

2. The Rider’s Phone Call

Pre-Arrival Call

Riders usually call shortly before they arrive. They check that someone is home, ask for directions if needed and remind you to have the cash ready for a COD order.

Keep your phone switched on and nearby during the day, so you do not miss the delivery.

3. Arrival and Handover

Handover

The rider arrives at your gate or reception and checks the receiver’s name on the label. If you are out, someone at the address may be able to receive it for you.

Paying Cash on Delivery (COD) at the Door

If your online order is cash on delivery, keep these points in mind:

Opening the Parcel

We could not confirm FastEx’s rule on opening a parcel before paying. Ask the shop about its policy before delivery.

Have the Right Amount

Riders make many stops each day and may not carry much change. Have the exact amount from your order message ready to save time.

For more about COD payments and problems, see our FastEx COD tracking guide.

What Happens If You Miss the Rider?

If nobody is home or your phone cannot be reached, the parcel is not sent back straight away. FastEx records a problem status (such as “Customer Not Available”) and keeps the parcel at the local branch for 48 to 72 hours.

Two tries: FastEx tries to deliver twice. During that time, contact FastEx customer support on 042-111-007-009 or on WhatsApp at 0311-2222490 to arrange another delivery.

Important: If both delivery tries fail, the parcel is sent back to the seller (Return to Origin, RTO).

Delivering to Gated Areas, Flats and Offices

If you live in a gated community or apartment block, or work in a secure office building, a little planning helps:

  • Gated areas: If your gate needs to approve visitors, tell the guards or use your security app once tracking says “Out for Delivery”.
  • Offices: In office buildings, the parcel usually goes to reception or the mailroom. Tell reception you are expecting it, especially if cash has to be paid.
  • Flats: In flats without a lift, the rider may call and ask you to meet at the ground floor entrance.

Rearranging a Delivery

If tracking says “Out for Delivery” on a day you will not be home, you can avoid a failed delivery:

  • Someone else can receive it: Ask a family member, helper or trusted neighbour to receive it. For a COD order, leave them the exact amount.
  • Choose another day: Call the FastEx helpline on 042-111-007-009 and ask for delivery on another working day when you will be home.
  • Collecting From an Express Center: We could not confirm whether FastEx can hold a parcel at an Express Center for you to collect. Ask the helpline if this would suit you better.

Check Your Parcel When It Arrives

Always check the outside of your parcel when it is handed over:

  • Check that the flyer is not torn and the tape has not been cut or resealed.
  • Check that your name and address on the label are correct.
  • If the box is crushed, wet or torn, show the rider and ask for this to be noted before you sign.
  • Keep the flyer with the barcode label. Online shops often ask for a photo of it for returns or exchanges.
